At almost the midseason mark, several scenes from season 2 have stood out as either moving or impressive. Here are my top 5 must see moments so far.

Bathroom Sing Off (Audition, Episode 1)
Glee started off the season right with one of the best scenes appearing in the the first episode. In this scene, Rachel Berry first encounters a new student, Sunshine Corazon, in the girl’s bathroom. Sunshine has headphones in and is singing along with “Telephone”. Rachel is immediately threatened by her voice and proceeds to engage her in an impromptu singing competition. This scene was classic Rachel Berry and well done by Lea Michele while Charice Pempengco convincingly portrayed Sunshine as the unwitting competitor who was innocently enjoying the music.

Schuester & Pillsbury Touch Me (The Rocky Horror Glee Show, Episode 5)
Santana and Brittany watch through the window as Mr. Schuester and Ms. Pillsbury dance around singing “Touch Me”. The song was a perfect fit for Emma’s personality and voice. It also revealed Matthew Morrison’s killer bod, making fans want to toucha toucha toucha touch him.

Umbrella Mix (The Substitute, Episode 7)
Despite the corny lead-up, (Ms. Ultracool Teacher, can you please help me modernize this song?) the mashup of “Umbrella” & “Singing In the Rain” felt like a well done music video, with completely impractical but absolutely impressive indoor rain and choreographed puddle splashing.
Coach Beiste as Santa (A Very Glee Christmas, Episode 10)
Brittany, who still believes in Santa, has asked for an impossible Christmas gift, that her boyfriend Artie be able to walk. Artie convinces Coach Beiste to dress up as Santa to let her down easy and preserve her childlike beliefs. In this memorable scene, Coach Beiste, as Santa, confronts Brittany in her living room to give her the news. Dot Jones gives a perfect performance as she relates a story from the coach’s childhood about asking Santa to make her look like the other little girls.

I Wanna Hold Your Hand Montage (Grilled Cheesus, Episode 3)
While Burt Hummel hovers on the brink of death, Kurt expresses his pain with a slow, mournful version of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” in remembrance of his relationship with his father. Chris Colfer’s tearful performance, combined with the montage of clips from Kurt’s childhood were incredibly moving. The song itself belongs in the best of Chris Colfer and the best of Glee.

Since the first episode of season 2 when Sam was first introduced, Chord O’s muscles have been popping out everywhere. The first glimpse came when Finn hears him singing and then creepily spies on him in the locker room showers.
His rippled abs make their first appearance during the 4th episode in another locker scene with Finn.

Chord is almost naked as Rocky in the “Rocky Horor Glee Show”, but only for a moment.
Thankfully, Chord is as musical as he is muscled, so fans get to enjoy both the music and the view.
