Jayma Mays
You might have been wondering, “Where have I seen her before?” just as we were. Then after a little bit of research we figured out we saw her first on Ugly Betty a season or two ago.
With her doe-eyed glances and quirky displays of OCD as Emma Pilsbury, Mays encapsulates the wallflower-esque qualities of a woman in love who doesn’t know how to make those feelings known. If she was the slightest bit more forthcoming about her feelings, she’d almost be like “Rose” from Two-and-a-Half Men. But for now, she’s the more passive version of what we hope does not turn into Glenn Close’s character in Fatal Attraction!
Mays has been on TV and in film, most recently in Mall Cop, but also in Red Eye from 2005. On TV you might also have seen her as the waitress from the first season of Heroes who the Japanese guy fell in love with.
In any case, we are happy to see Mays in this role and already couldn’t picture anyone else doing it the way she does.
